This course is the first half of a two-semester sequence introducing Modern Hebrew language and culture, with a focus on development of the five language proficiencies: reading, writing, speaking, listening, and cultural. By the end of the year, students will be able to describe themselves and their environment, express their thoughts and opinions, and begin to comprehend short and adapted literary and journalistic texts. Learning will be amplified by use of online resources (YouTube, tutorials, etc) and examples from Hebrew songs and television/film. No previous knowledge of Hebrew language is necessary.
Permission is required for interchange registration during the add/drop period only.
